The first thing that I found intersting chapter 7 was how animals or even humans will develope a cognitve map of a certain place. For example when a mouse is in a maze it will get a mental representation of the maze so it can find cheese or any type of food much faster. The mouse will also use its nose but the mental representation of the maze also plays a big part in reaching it's goal.
Another thing that I found very interesting was how mirror neurons work in animals. One way these work is a monkey will grasp, hold, or tear something and these neurons will fire off inside the brain. When these neurons do fire off in the brain the monkey will do the same as what another monley was doing. In other words monkey see monkey do.
The last thing that I found very intersting was the way we take positive reinforcement and negative reinforcement. When we take a positive reinforcement our brain will release a desirable stimulus and we will be happy and on the other side if we get a negative reinforcement our brain will release an aversive stimulus and we will be mad or sad. The reason why I found this intersting was because I never new that our brain released a stimulus to make us mad or happy. And they weren't endorphins.
